United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change releases its 6th Assessment Report

Source: IPCC

The IPCC released its latest climate report - Climate Change 2021: the Physical Science Basis. The report acts as a call to action, presenting the most comprehensive scientific knowledge of the current state of the climate system.

AR6 outlines observations of unprecedented and rapid changes across the entire climate system, including increased frequency and intensity of hot extremes, marine heatwaves, heavy precipitation, droughts, intense storms, and reduction in Artic permafrost. Many projected changes are irreversible for centuries to millennia, with these changes increasing with warming levels beyond 1.5°C global warming.

Of particular note to us from the report is the immediate need to accelerate and increase the scale of emission reduction efforts, specifically on methane. These objectives align with our core ambitions at CarbonAi. Our tagline is Integrate | Automate | Accelerate. Our fully integrated software solution and suite of mobile applications help organizations integrate various data sources to get better resolution on emissions and automate various manual processes. We are working on a number of large, international methane reduction projects across the Middle East. Get in touch with us to learn more.
